Singapore Foochow Association WuJu Dance troupe was formed in 1983. Years of numerous productions & performances down the road, this year marks the 1st performance after moving into our new direction of promoting performing arts culture and grooming local young talents.

WuJu Dance Troupe will be presenting “Dancescape” on 6 December 2008 (Sat), 3pm and 8pm, at Lee Foundation Theatre (NAFA). The production will bring an expected number of 650 audiences into exploring a new era of performance with 3 main segments, choreographed by local renowned talent, Mr. Derek Seong (相德立) who is a martial arts instructor cum dance choreographer.

Segment 1 (The Martial Dance)
• A fusion performance of Chinese Dance & Martial Arts, well balanced in both strength & vitality, together with graceful dance moves to open up the new chapter. It shows the broad & profound Chinese arts. Four dance items takes on “Under the sea” concept.

Segment 2 （Synthesis of dance）
• For dance, there is no boundaries, no individuals. We hope to infuse different genre of dance, presenting an “out of a kind” dance culture/form. (e.g. Contemporary Malay & Indian dance, Modern Dance & Jazz). It expresses the lifestyles of people from different walks of life in the modern world

Segment 3 (The Retro Beat)
• Glamorous stage with singing & dancing all night long, The stage shows the dilemma of the 70s singers’ hope of getting famous, while facing the music of survival, a musical dance bringing you memories of the past.

打开不同的舞蹈之门，探索本地的文化艺术，体验全新的舞蹈境界

新加坡福州会馆舞炬团是个非营利的年轻团体，舞蹈员年龄介于13至25岁，都是在籍学生以及来自不同工作领域的年轻人。大家花费宝贵时间一起排练，坚持彼此的共同热忱，为艺术，为舞蹈。

这 场舞林大会分为三个回合，本地知名武术教练兼舞蹈编导，相德立是这场大会的艺术总监。另外，还有本团舞员的舞蹈作品。题材新颖，带出本地文化艺术的新尝 试。我们希望提供平台栽培本地青年，让他们有发挥才华的空间。我们也希望通过舞蹈艺术，引导更多的年轻人把时间花在有意义的表演艺术上，并提高他们对本地 文化艺术的认识与鉴赏。

为了达成我们的理想和目标，舞炬团将在2008年12月6日（星期六），下午3pm和晚上8pm，假李氏基金剧场（南洋艺术学院）呈献大型舞蹈晚会“艺度空间”。我们将带领约650名观众探索新的表演艺术领域，寻找舞林秘笈。

这场舞林大会分为三个回合，由本地知名武术教练兼舞蹈编导，相德立指导。

第一回：
• 舞武炬艺（The Martial Dance） – 刚柔并重，精气神定和婀娜多姿相结合，掀开舞武新篇章，展示中华艺术的博大精深。

第二回：
• 精舞门（Synthesis of dance） – 舞蹈不分国界，不分你我，不同的艺术之门，开启了共同的世界之窗。我们希望融合不同的舞，带出另类的舞蹈表演风格，例如现代武术嘻哈舞。

第三回：
• 舞魅之歌（The Retro Beat） – 绚丽的舞台，活力四射，夜半歌声。名利的斗争，现实的残酷，种种矛盾该如何化解？让我们回到怀旧年代，唱出我们的故事。
